Our Story

FloorCraft began in June of 1992 when Carl and Gail Olson opened a small shop in the New London Shopping Center with a simple mission: treat customers the way they wished every business would. In 1995, the business moved to a larger showroom and warehouse on Route 11 in Wilmot Flat, which quickly became a local destination for quality flooring and friendly service.

Ken Olson and his wife, Tobyn, joined the family business in 2001, learning every part of the trade—from measuring and product selection to installation and customer care. In 2012, Ken and Tobyn purchased FloorCraft and carried forward the Olsons’ legacy of exceptional service, expanding the selection and modernizing the showroom.

Today, FloorCraft remains proudly family-owned and operated. What began as a small local store has grown into a 5,000 sq. ft. showroom known for trusted expertise, high-quality materials, and a customer-first approach that has never changed.
